According to preliminary data of the Ministry of economy and national Institute of export, in 2017, the volume of Israeli exports rose by 5% compared with the year 2016 and for the first time will exceed $ 100 billion.
Exports excluding diamonds and start-UPS increased by 6% to $ 92 billion.
Exports of goods increased by 1% and amounted to $ 53 billion, exports of goods excluding diamonds rose by 3% to $ 46 billion. Diamond exports declined 7% to $ 7 billion. Agricultural exports grew by 2% to $ 1.2 billion. Exports of services grew by 10% to 44 billion dollars.
After two years of decline, exports of goods to EU countries increased by 20% to $ 16 billion, the largest consumer of Israeli exports to the EU were the United Kingdom (an increase of 35% compared to the previous year). Exports to USA amounted to $ 11.5 billion, in Asia – $ 8.5 billion (a decline of 15% due to the conversion of the Intel factory in Israel). It should be noted that the volume of exports to China compared to last year has not changed.
