Six persons convicted in the Holyland case will serve his sentence in a special prison housing «Maasiyahu», announced Tuesday, February 2, the Second channel ITV.
According to the published information we are talking about former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and former chief engineer of the municipality of URI Sheetrit, the former head of the Board of Directors of Bank «Hapoalim» Dani Dankner, a former Deputy of the city Council of Simchayof Eliezer, the businessman Meir Rabin and one of the founders of the Holyland Avigdor Kellner.
2 February all but Olmert was in jail «Maasiyahu» where passed the first stage of acceptance. To serve the sentence they will start February 15, and will do so in a special case, consisting of six chambers, each of which is designed for two people.
Building contractor Hillel Cherni preferred to serve their sentences separately from their accomplices, and he will sit in jail, «Hermon».
Recall that on 2 February, the Jerusalem magistrate’s court found former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert guilty of hindering the investigation.
The court’s decision was made on the basis of extrajudicial deal with prosecutors in which he pleaded guilty to the two counts in exchange for the agreement of law enforcement agencies to mitigate the sentence.
Under the deal, Olmert receives 6 months in jail, which will be served concurrently with the prison term to which he was sentenced under the «Holyland case».
