The United Nations has recognized that for the first time since 2010 in Iraq was kidnapped and killed by their employee, reports Reuters. The victim of the terrorists was said AMR al-Qaisi, who worked in the mission of the organization to assist Iraq in Baqubah and kidnapped in April 2015.
In a statement, the UN notes that since the kidnapping, with the participation of Iraqi authorities conducted negotiations about the conditions of his release, al-Qaisi. However, they were unsuccessful.
Based on available data al-Qaisi was assassinated in November of last year. Body of unidentified men with gunshot wounds were found near Baquba 14 November 2015. January 15 this year, the body was buried, at that time, the name of the killed was not known. On 15 February, the friends of al-Qaisi identified his body by the photos and informed the UN.
In 2010, the UN employee died in Iraq as a result of the explosion of a car bomb near her home.
