Former Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea detained on suspicion in receiving a bribe in especially large size

Former Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea detained on suspicion in receiving a bribe in especially large size, reports the Investigative Committee of Russia.

«According to investigators, from August to December 2016, the suspect got through the intermediary of a previously agreed amount of a bribe in the amount of 27 million rubles for promoting them in virtue of official position the selection of a construction company as the sole provider at the conclusion of the contract for the construction of housing in the Crimea, as well as General support to the firm in the performance by it of this municipal contract», – stated in the message published on Wednesday, February 15, on the website of the UK.

Concerning the suspect criminal case on signs of the crime under part 6 St. 290 criminal code (receiving a bribe through an intermediary in especially large size).

The name of the detainee ex-official in the Investigative Committee is not known. However, a source in law enforcement bodies of Crimea told TASS that we are talking about a former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Oleg Catherine.
