Recently completed its mission in Washington, former Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak told the TV channel «Russia 24», which is not discussed with former White house adviser on national security issues, Michael Flynn no state secrets.
According to Kislyak, they talked with Flynn «the simplest things». One of the main topics of the meeting was cooperation between Russia and the United States in the fight against terrorism.
The former Ambassador underlined that during the conversation with Flynn not discussed anti-Russian sanctions.
Sergey Kislyak held a post of the Russian Ambassador in the USA since 2008. In the last year his name has often surfaced in the context of suspicions of Russian interference in presidential elections in the United States. It turned out that Kislyak repeatedly met people from the entourage of the President of the United States Donald trump, in particular, former White house adviser on security issues, Michael Flynn, who in a meeting with Kislyak was dismissed, and U.S. attorney General Jeff sessions, later withdrew from the control of investigation of Russian interference in the American presidential election.
