Montenegro, Albania, Norway and Ukraine joined the European Union’s decision to extend sanctions against Russia until March 15, 2018.

In September, the Council of the European Union extended individual sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities, which the EU accuses of undermining the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
The sanctions list are 149 persons and legal entities. 38 They are banned from entering EU countries and their assets frozen.
The lifting of EU sanctions linked to «the implementation by Russia of the Minsk agreements». Moscow believes this approach is absurd, since Russia is not a party to the conflict in Ukraine, the Agency said.
