13-th world chess champion for the first time since 2005, will take part in a professional chess tournament, reports TASS.
Garry Kasparov will take part in the stage of the Grand tour, which will be held in St. Louis from 14 to 18 August.
He will take part in tournament on fast chess and blitz.
54-year-old grandmaster has received wild card from organizers of the tournament.

St. Louis will also speak Levon Aronian (Armenia), Sergey Karjakin (Russia), Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia), Fabiano Caruana (USA), Viswanathan Anand (India), Hikaru Nakamura (USA), Leinier Dominguez (Cuba), David Navara (Czech Republic) and Le Quang Lew (Vietnam).
Garry Kasparov was world chess champion from 1985 to 1993. In 2005 he completed a career.
