Internal security Minister Gilad Erdan announced on 17 February that he intends to appoint Dadi Simcha for the post of chief of the fire Department.
Dadi Simcha, Brigadier General in reserve, among other positions, he held the post of chief of staff of the office of the rear, and was the military attaché of Israel in China. He retired from military service in August 2016.
Gilad Erdan said the General Simcha has extensive professional experience necessary for the further development and strengthening of the fire service.
The appointment of General Simcha must approve the government.
