Unknown hackers carried out an unprecedented attack on the national health service in the UK.
In the service said that they knew about the problem and trying to understand its causes. At the same time, the Ministry statement specifies that the computer systems of hospitals were damaged in the result of «ransomware», the BBC reports.
Hackers require approximately 415 thousand pounds as payment for the return of the «Stroy» attacked their sites. According to the Daily Mail, the victims of the attacks were at least sixteen institutions of the British health service.
Hundreds of assignments and transactions that fall into the category of difficult and urgent were postponed in hospitals across the country. At the same time, dozens of patients delivered in the hospital by «ambulance» were sent to a nearby clinic to «ensure patient safety».
The national health service appealed to the citizens urging them to exercise patience and in the next few hours to go to the doctors only in extreme cases.
