Hollywood actor Harrison Ford piloting his single-engine plane in California was mistakenly put it on the runway and taxiway, narrowly missing a passenger plane of airline American Airlines, on Board of which there were 110 passengers and 6 crew members, according to NBC.
Ford, an experienced pilot, owning several airplanes coming in to land at the airport, John Wayne Airport in California’s orange County, was instructed to put his Aviat Husky on runway 20-L, but by mistake sat on the taxiway, flying very close above the passenger plane, which took off a few minutes later.
It is reported that 74-year-old actor, bringing the plane in for a landing, asked via radio: «This airplane must be right under me?»
The Federal aviation administration of the USA has started investigation of the incident, which can lead to a number of sanctions against Harrison Ford, from simple warnings, and to the deprivation of the actor’s pilot license.
Recall that Ford was involved in several crashes, the last of which is seriously injured. In 2015, vintage light aircraft, at the wheel which was the actor crashed near the city of Santa Monica, near Los Angeles. The Ryan ST3KR aircraft, 1942 issue, crashed on a Golf course West of municipal airport of Santa Monica. Harrison Ford was hospitalized with head injuries.
