Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, «Doctors for human rights» and the Center for the protection of human rights al-Meza issued a joint statement on policy issuance to the residents of the Gaza strip permits for treatment in Israel.
According to the statement, 54 a resident of Gaza died in 2017, due to the fact that the Israeli authorities denied them the permission for treatment in Israel or such permission has not been received in a timely manner.
Human rights activists claim that in total over the past year, Israel had received more than 25,000 requests for treatment. 719 of them were answered in the negative, which was explained by security considerations.
11.281 appeal is still pending. We would add that this means that about 13,000 applications were considered positively. Among them – petitions of the relatives of the leaders of Fatah and Hamas.
