The national Commission on priority Stroyproekt on Wednesday, July 19, approved a project to build 900 housing units in be’er ya’akov, and also announced the publication of a draft construction 7.800 units and 240.000 sq. m. commercial and industrial areas in Afula, the press service of the Ministry of Finance.
In the case of objections of local residents about the project in Afula in the development plan will be amended before it is approved.
«We got a severe housing crisis for 12 years – said the Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon. – I took this challenge and made a commitment to achieve results. We will develop the program of construction, to sell the land and build, build and build, until we resolve this crisis. The next twenty years will be the years of continuous construction.»
In the framework of the project in be’er ya’akov will be constructed apartment buildings with height from 8 to 18 floors, commercial premises and public buildings for the residents of the new district, and for residents of adjacent area Mitcham Herzl intended under the project «pinoy-binui» («eviction-construction»).
In the South of Afula, will be built a new housing estate of buildings with height from 6 to 12 floors in total 7.800 housing units, including 1.500 malometrazhnyh apartments and 400 public housing for the elderly («diyur Mugan»). On the ground floor of the buildings of commercial premises with a total area of 9.500 sq. m. the Project also includes commercial and public buildings with a total area of 14.000 sq. m.
On a plot of 120 dunums will be a urban Park. Next to current industrial area of the city planned construction of 238.000 square feet of office and production space. Additional roads will be built and established public transport system.
