On may 17, the international day against homophobia, in Beirut for the first time in the Arab world will host events the week of pride. For the first time the LGBT community will be limited not by the week, and half days.
According to the website «al-Bawaba», Beirut pride will be held from two o’clock to eight o’clock in the evening. It includes discussions, performances, creative workshops, lectures and just party. The event will be open to the public.
One of the creative laboratories on the gender of uncertainty as a phenomenon of fashion. Also will be a performance of drag Queens – men, rising to the stage in a female form.
At the same time, the organizers decided not to hold a pride parade is the Central event in other countries. Also cancelled a debate on discrimination against members of the LGBT community in Lebanon.
