In the German city of Bonn, the Federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, began hearings in the case of a 32-year-old refugee from Ghana, who, allegedly, raped a woman camping on the banks of the river Sieg, a tributary of the Rhine in front of her boyfriend.
The defendant, whose name, according to German law, is not made public, refused to admit his guilt, writes on Monday, September 25, the newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung
The investigation suggests that the accused entered the tent where the couple and threatened with a saw, ordered them to give the available values, and then led the 23-year-old woman out of the tent and raped her, forcing the man to watch.
Police called the victim and the perpetrator, who claimed he was the son of a wealthy planter from Ghana, identified a resident of the nearby town of Siegburg, said in this article.
However, the investigation revealed that the attacker was an illegal alien, who several days ago received a notice that his application for asylum is rejected and he will be deported to Italy. This country was his «first home» in Europe. There, the defendant moved to Kassel, Federal state of Hessen, and then moved to Sankt Augustin, near Bonn.
It is reported that at the crime scene were found traces of DNA of the accused. Hearings on this case will last eight days.
