Sunday, June 4, in Cairo held talks with the foreign Ministers of Egypt and Saudi Arabia Sameh Shukri and Adel al-Jubeir. The main topic of the talks was the joint fight against terrorism and the settlement of disputes between the two countries, reports the Associated Press.
In addition, topics were touched upon regional conflicts – primarily in Syria and Yemen.
The talks were held two weeks after the visit to the middle East region of the US President Donald trump, who visited Riyadh. During this visit, the American President spoke of the need for the creation of a military Union of Arab countries to jointly fight against the «Islamic state» and Iran.
Recall that, in contrast to Saudi Arabia, Egypt refrained from participating in the fight against ISIS in Syria and does not send its military in Yemen.
