Iranian security forces arrested about 50 people suspected of involvement in a double attack in Tehran which killed 17 people, according to Reuters.
Earlier, the Ministry of intelligence of Iran announced that the organizer of a double bombing eliminated, however, the operation to search for terrorist accomplices continues.
June 7 four militants in women’s clothes opened fire on people who were in the lobby of the Iranian Parliament. Two of them were armed with Kalashnikovs, one pistol. The attackers managed to take hostages. The operation for their release lasted for several hours.
Half an hour after the attack on Parliament two gunmen opened indiscriminate firing inside the mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. It was powered by an explosive device. One of the attackers is arrested, the rest were destroyed.
The victims of the attacks, responsibility for which was assumed by the terrorist group «Islamic state», were 17 people, dozens of people were injured.
