Wild leopard caught on 8 February after he entered the school grounds in Bangalore and attacked students and teachers, ran away from banarghatta national Park, reports the BBC.
Coming out of the neighbouring forest and penetrated into the territory of the school, eight-year-old leopard attacked people, injuring 6 people.
Due to school veterinarians gave the animal a tranquilizer and taken to the national Park where the leopard put in a cage. A week later, the animal managed to escape. Presumably, during feeding.
The authorities of Bangalore asking citizens not to panic, because leopard is still in a closed area of the Park and poses no threat to the surrounding residents.
After penetration of the animal on the school grounds in the city were seen several leopards, forcing authorities to temporarily close city’s 142 schools.
