Monday, may 15, the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu took in Jerusalem the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groisman.
On the Israeli side in the meeting took part the Minister of environmental protection, Zeev Elkin, Minister of welfare Haim Katz, Minister of economy Ali Cohen, the Minister of health Yaakov litzman. The Ukrainian side was attended by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for European and Euro-Atlantic integration Ivanna klympush-Tsintsadze, the Minister of education and science, Liliya Hrynevych, the Minister of culture Yevhen Nyshchuk, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleksandr Sayenko, the Minister of social policy Andrei Reva, Minister of health Suprun, Deputy Minister of economic development and trade Natalia Mykolska.
Netanyahu thanked Groisman for how Ukraine voted in UNESCO, and said that he knows how serious the current Ukrainian leadership is struggling with the manifestations of anti-Semitism.
The meeting between Netanyahu and Groisman was held in the framework of the official visit of Ukrainian Prime Minister to Israel. The press service of the head of the government of Israel notes that Groisman invited Netanyahu to visit Kiev and he accepted the invitation.
The meeting discussed cooperation between States in the areas of economy, trade, technology, science and culture. Signed a number of bilateral agreements.
During the visit, Groisman visited the memorial complex «Yad Vashem», met with the President of Israel Reuven Rivlin and the speaker of the Knesset Yuli-Yoel Edelstein.
Visit of Volodymyr Groysman in Israel was planned for 27-28 December 2016. But after Ukraine supported the anti-Israeli resolution in the UN security Council, the visit was postponed indefinitely. Israeli media reported that the visit Groisman was cancelled at the request of Netanyahu.
