According to the representative of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Afghanistan, at least 42 people were injured in the explosion. He said that the attacker detonated a bomb in his car in the West of the city, in an area which is mostly inhabited by Shiites.
The purpose of the attack is unclear, and no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, it is known that the explosion occurred near the house of Deputy head of the government of Mohammad Mechanica.
