Thursday, July 20, in Kiev was held a March in memory of the famous Belarusian journalist Pavel Sheremet, who was murdered a year ago. The protesters came with placards with the inscription «Who killed Paul?». They demanded that the authorities investigate this crime. The murder of journalist people laid flowers and lit candles, the website Meduza.
Pavel Sheremet died July 20, 2016 in Kiev, the explosion of the car at which wheel it was. Police reported that the car of journalist detonated improvised explosive device with capacity of from 400 to 600 grams of TNT. The Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine opened a murder case. According to investigators, the murder Sheremet was connected with his professional activities.
Sheremet was buried in Minsk at the North cemetery. At the funeral there were a lot of people, including Russian politician Ilya Yashin, co-Chairman of «Belarusian Christian democracy» Pavel Seviarynets, the leader of group «Krama» Igor voroshkevich, poet Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, policy Tatiana Korotkevich, Anatoly Lebedko and Leonid Borshchevsky, ex-presidential candidate Ales Mikhalevich, as well as friends and colleagues Sheremeta of Ukraine.
