On Thursday morning, December 3, at the Central house of writers in Moscow began the mourning ceremony of farewell with Eldar Ryazanov.
The funeral will be held today at the Novodevichy cemetery.
Ryazanov has died on the night of November 30 of congestive heart failure. He was 88 years old.

Eldar Aleksandrovich Ryazanov was born November 18, 1927 in Samara (where mother’s parents lived), in the family of employees of the Soviet trade delegation in Tehran Alexander Ryazanov and Sophia Mikhailovna Shusterman.
Soon the family moved to Moscow, where his father worked as the head of a Central Board of wine. In the 1930s, the family broke up, and the future filmmaker was raised by his mother. Then she married an engineer, a widower with a child. With seven years of Eldar was raised by his stepfather, the stepson treated me like his own son. The father married again, his daughter was born. In 1938 he was arrested and was given five years. Ryazanov Sr. fled the camp after being caught he was given ten years, and in total he spent 17 years. During the great Patriotic war Eldar wrote her father a letter and received a reply with a concise description of Northern nature. In the early 1960s, the father found the son in his movies.
Eldar Ryazanov since the childhood liked to read, was going to be a writer, dreamed of travel. After the ten-year he even sent a letter-the statement in the Odessa seaworthy school. But there was a Great Patriotic war, and the answer he did not wait.
By chance Ryazanov became the student of 1st course of the VGIK (masterful G. kozintseva). In 1950 Eldar Ryazanov graduated from the VGIK, then (together with classmate Z. P. Fomina) the documentary film «They study in Moscow». She graduated with honors. For 5 years Ryazanov worked in documentary film at the Central documentary film Studio. He removed plots for newsreels «pioneer», «Soviet sport», «news», several editions mounted entirely. He also made film sketches «the way of October» (with the L. Derbysheva, 1951), «world championship chess» (1952), «Your books» (with Z. P. Fomina), «Close to Krasnodar» (both 1953), «Sakhalin Island» (with V. V. Katanyanom, 1954).
In 1955 Ryazanov became the Director of a film Studio «Mosfilm» and put (Sergey Gurov) the first Soviet wide-screen film-Revue «voices of Spring», which were and game episodes. A year later the head of the film Studio «Mosfilm» I. A. Pyryev literally forced to undertake Ryazanov Comedy movie. The film «carnival night» (1956) was a huge success. The famous Igor Ilyinsky played one of his best roles of bureaucrat Ogurtsova, and young actors Lyudmila Gurchenko, Yuri Belov and steel movie stars.
In the next few years trying to put the lyrical Comedy «the girl without the address» (1957), the heroic Comedy «hussar ballad» (1962), household Comedy «Give the book of complaints» (1964), eccentric Comedy «Unbelievable adventures of Italians in Russia» (1973). And in 1961 made two satirical tape: «How did Robinson» (after the story by I. Ilf and E. Petrov, the novel in comic almanac «Absolutely seriously») and «nowhere Man» (1961, in the car almost did not go because of censor). In «nowhere Man» by Sergei Yursky and Anatoly Papanov.
In making the film «hussar’s ballad» the big help again Ryazanov had decided to have achieved resolution of statement and persuade to act in the role of Lieutenant Rzhev Yuri Yakovlev. Ryazanov himself took great pains to convince canonicalise that the best candidate for the role of Mikhail Kutuzov – Igor Ilyinsky, that the film does not distort Russian history and romanticizes it. Play Alexander Gladkov «very long ago», which served as the dramaturgical basis for the film, Ryazanov reduced, at the same time, he had to add a few verse episodes.
In 1960-e years has emerged a group of creative like-minded people Ryazanov: writer – Emil Braginsky, composer – Andrei Petrov, cameraman – Vladimir nahabtsev; actors: Yury Yakovlev, Andrey Mironov, Evgeny Evstigneev, Valentina Talyzina; later also: Liya Akhedzhakova,
Andrey Myagkov, Oleg Basilashvili, Valentin Gaft Georgiy Burkov, Svetlana Nemolyaeva, Alisa Freundlich.
One of Ryazanov’s best pictures – «Beware of the car» (1966). Despite the fact that the film was based on urban joke about noble car thief, it just spelled out all of life’s conflicts, characters and dialogues. The broad audience attracted and further work Ryazanov: 1968 – «Zigzag of luck», 1971 – «Old men-robbers», 1973 – «Unbelievable adventures of Italians in Russia», 1975 – «the Irony of fate, or enjoy your bath!», 1977 – «Office romance», 1982 – «Station for two», 1984 – «Cruel romance» (based on the play by A. N. Ostrovsky’s «bride»), 1979 – «the Garage», 1980 – «On the poor hussar say a word», 1987 – «a Forgotten tune for the flute», 1988 – «Dear Elena Sergeevna», 1991 – «the promised Heaven», 1993 – «a Day in the family of the President»,
1993 – «Prediction», 1997 – «Hey, assholes!», 2000 – «Old horse», 2000 – «still waters», 2003 – «the Key to the bedroom», 2006 – «Andersen. Life without love», 2006 – «carnival night 2».
Ryazanov was the co-writer of many of his films, wrote several plays. His published books: 1977 – «the Sad face of Comedy», 1969 – «Zigzag of luck» (with E. Braginsky), 1977 – «These frivolous, frivolous movies», 1979 – «Funny sad stories. Comedy for film and television» (with E. Braginsky), 1983 – «Nedodelannye results» (the book passed through several editions), 1969 – «Murder in the library», 1988 – «Five evenings with Vladimir Vysotsky» and others.
In 1979-1985 worked Ryazanov as a leading TV program «Kinopanorama», author and Director of which was Xenia Marinina. In addition, he has created more than 200 author’s television programs.
In 2002 Ryazanov became the President of the Russian Academy of cinema arts «Nika». 23 January 2005 opened the cinema club Eldar Ryazanov. He taught at the Higher courses for scriptwriters and Directors.
In 2010 he became a founding member of Kinosoyuz.
