On Saturday evening, may 27, in Petah Tiqwa approximately 200 people took part in protests against the ban imposed by the police to hold rallies near the house legal adviser to the government of Aviha Mandelblit.
During the rally, held on the square Goren, at a distance of 400 meters from the houses Mandelblit, was detained about 20 participants. According to police, they left the area, which was allowed to hold a rally and tried to approach the house legal adviser to the government.
Among other things, the rally was attended by MPs from the «Zionist camp» and MERETZ. The Deputy Erel Margalit said: «the Right to privacy and the legal adviser to the government is not more important than the public’s right to protest».
Last week, the police issued a complete ban on the events of the protest near the house of Avia Mandelblit. «Protesters have right to protest in front of the office of the legal adviser in Jerusalem or in tel Aviv, said in a statement to the police. – However, all protests near the house of Avia Mandelblit is prohibited.»
