The Cabinet of Ministers of housing, headed by Finance Minister Moshe Colona, approved Monday, June 5, the transfer of several parcels in the most popular areas in the center of the country for housing. In particular, to build a housing complex for 12 thousand housing units near Kfar Sirkin in Petah Tikva.
The first plot area of 900 dunams designed for the construction of low-rise residential buildings with gardens near Kfar Sirkin, and in the territory adjacent to the neighborhood of Amishav, will be built high-rise and apartment buildings. In total, the new residential area is planned the construction of 4,000 housing units, public buildings, commercial premises, parks and playgrounds.
In the second section, with an area of 2.100 acres, will be built of 8,000 housing units, employment centers, shopping and commercial premises. In addition, along the banks of rivers awl and Mazur will be a Park. This plot is located in the East of Petah Tikva. A large part of both sites is under the jurisdiction of the municipality of Petah Tikva, the other part — administered by the regional Council of Drom HaSharon.
Currently these lands are used by the security system, and in accordance with the agreement on the transfer of military objects from the Central regions of the country, the first part of the plots will be released by the end of 2018.
