Tuesday, February 9, in Thailand, launched the largest in Asia and the Pacific international military exercises Cobra Gold 2016. In the exercises, which are held for the 35th time, involved military personnel from 27 countries, however, the main contingent are military from Thailand and the United States, said TASS.
The website bangkokpost.com calls exercise participants. Directly involved in the maneuvers military personnel take seven countries: Thailand, USA, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea.
Nine countries participate in military exercises in the framework of the planning of study-operations of: Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, France, UK, Italy, Mongolia, Nepal and the Philippines.
The representatives of nine States involved as observers: Brunei, Chile, Laos, Myanmar, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
China and India are allowed only to the part of Cobra Gold, on the implementation of international humanitarian operations.
In total 8.564 involved military personnel.
