In the air Petah Tikva had exceeded the norms of carcinogens

On the basis of complaints of neighborhood residents, and Em-Moshavot a-Hadasha in Petah Tikva, the Ministry of environment conducted an audit of air in a nearby industrial zone Segula.

Checks have revealed a significant excess of the norms of certain types of carcinogens and toxins, such as butadiene, trichloroethylene, benzene, chloroform and dichloroethane.

In connection with the audit findings, the Ministry called representatives of the three plants involved in recycling waste, at the hearing in connection with violation of the clean air act, temporarily prohibiting the delivery of certain types of waste at these plants, according to Haaretz.
