At least 60 children have died in a government hospital in Uttar Pradesh in Northern India. According to one version, in the children’s hospital intensive care unit was switched off oxygen supply in connection with non-payment of accounts, reports the BBC.
Most of the victims were either in intensive care for premature babies, or received treatment for encephalitis.
Official representatives of the state said that the hospital really was an irregular supply of oxygen, but the cause of death of 60 children was not it.
The stories of the witnesses, the hospital was suddenly disabled, the flow of oxygen and started to panic. Hospital staff and relatives of patients for many hours gave patients oxygen manually using the packages.
