District administrative court of the Dnieper (ex. Kiev) has decided to ban public organization «Union of Soviet officers», having satisfied the claim of city Department of justice. It is reported by Ukrainian edition of «Browser».
According to witnesses in the case, in March 2014, «the Union of Soviet officers» «committed actions aimed at liquidation of independence of Ukraine, called on the neighboring state in violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine».
Witnesses also reported that on may 9 this year, representatives of the «Union» threatened to kill the women decorated clothing with the Ukrainian symbolics.
It is noted that previously, «Union of Soviet officers» were accused of appeals to overthrow the government and Pro-Russian propaganda: in particular, in March 2014 the members of the organization were raised on the flagpole in front of the city Council of the Russian flag.
In turn, the head of the «Union of Soviet officers» Victor Marchenko said he believes the charges against the organization are unfounded. He did not deny that in the spring of 2014 and raised the Russian tricolour at city hall, but said that he did it solely «as a sign of friendship of Ukraine and Russia».
