Tensions on the border with Gaza occurred after IDF soldiers destroyed a tunnel that led from Gaza into Israeli territory. As a result of collapse of the tunnel killed several militants. The evening of 30 October, the representatives of the Ministry of health in Gaza announced that the death toll rose to eight. Among the dead is commander of Islamic Jihad in the Central district of the Gaza strip, Arafat Abu-Murshid and his Deputy Hassan Abu-Hasnin.
