Russian nobility Association in America, announced the death of the President of the organization of Prince Vladimir Golitsyn, who died at the age of 76 years.
The funeral service will be held on February 23, Synodal Cathedral of the sign in new York, followed by burial at Novo-Diveevo cemetery.
Vladimir Golitsyn was born on 29 Jan 1942 in Belgrade. His parents, Prince Kirill Golitsyn and Marina Von Enden, emigrated from Russia after the October revolution of 1917 and met in Yugoslavia, writes Wikipedia.
In late 1942 the family moved to Germany. After the war, through the Berlin Golitsyn moved to the American zone of occupation, lived in a displaced persons ‘ camp in Munich.
In 1951 Golitsyn emigrated to USA, settled in new York. The family lived very poorly. With great difficulty mother managed to get him to school on a full scholarship.
