Sunday, December 27, in the city of Gaziantep (in southeastern Turkey, near the border with Syria) was shot and killed, the opposition Syrian journalist and documentary filmmaker Naji al-Jarf, reports Deutsche Welle.
According to Turkish media, al-Jerf worked on a documentary film, which tells about the crimes of the terrorist group «Islamic state». Previously he has produced several films about the war in Syria. Naji al-Jarf was the chief editor of the newspaper «hunt» that tells the story of Syrian daily life.
Al-Jarf collaborated with the human rights group RBSS, brings together citizen journalists, from April 2014 committed human rights violations in the Syrian «citadel» of raqqa, which remains the de facto capital of ISIS.
