The authorities of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates confirmed the death in Yemen of their military officers.
Riyadh has advised that on the morning of Monday, 14 December, during fighting near Taiz, was killed the commander of one of divisions of special troops of Saudi Abdullah bin Muhammad al-Shan.
Earlier, the official Abu Dhabi reported the death during the battle under the Taiz of an army officer of Emirates.
Appearing in a London based Saudi newspaper «al-Sharq al-Awsat» writes that on December 13 the forces of the Arab coalition launched a series of air strikes on the positions of militants of the Houthis in the Yemeni city of Taiz. The blows were inflicted before the entry into force of the agreement on a ceasefire.
