India Navy has conducted successful tests of anti-aircraft guided missile long range «Barak-8», joint development of Israeli and Indian defense industry.
Missiles fired from the guided-missile destroyer «Kolkata», hit air targets at different distances.
This is the first test carried out on the ship of the Indian Navy. Earlier, two tests were conducted on the ships of the Navy of the IDF.
The Indian Ministry of defense has already announced that it intends to accelerate the equipping of warships of the Indian Navy’s new missiles.
Missiles, «Barak-8» is designed to deal with a wide range of airborne threats including UAVs, aircraft, helicopters and missiles.
