The primary results of the investigation of the crash of a military Apache helicopter has shown that there is no connection between this accident and the fault, discovered a month and a half ago. On Tuesday, August 8, reported the press service of the IDF.
Recall that on 13 June the IDF air force commander major General Amir Eshel gave the order to suspend all crashes Apache after the blades of one of the helicopters was discovered crack. The fault was identified during a routine inspection of the helicopter by military technicians. The flights were resumed after all the helicopters have undergone additional inspection.
The accident occurred on Monday evening, August 7, at the airbase «Ramon» in the Negev killed 43-year-old helicopter pilot, a reserve major David (Dudi) Zohar Haifa. The second pilot, the senior Lieutenant of military service, whose name is not reported, were injured.
