The Minister of oil industry of Iran Bijan Zanganeh Namdang said that the Iranian oil exports to European countries will soon reach the level of 300 thousand barrels a day, reported local media.
According to him, on February 16 will come into force, the agreement with the French company Total, and then the contract will be signed with the Italian company Eni.
Total will receive 160.000 barrels of oil per day and expressed interest in developing oil fields in southern Azerbaijan and to the projects on production of liquefied gas.
Eni plans to buy 100,000 barrels a day, and another Italian company, Saras, has expressed a desire to buy 60-70 thousand barrels per day.
New contracts were made possible by the abolition of financial and economic sanctions imposed against Iran because of its nuclear program.
We will remind, Iran stated that it requires the partners to pay for oil in euros and not in dollars.
