At the meeting of the military-political Cabinet of Israel, which was dedicated to reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas, it was decided not to return to the negotiating table with the Palestinians until, until disbanded military wing of Hamas.
At the end of the meeting, which lasted more than two hours, the press service of the office of the Prime Minister issued a statement which lists all the conditions put forward by Israel to continue negotiations with the PA.
In particular, the negotiations cannot be started as long as Hamas does not recognize Israel’s right to exist and does not stop terror.
Israel insists on the dismantling of the paramilitary wing of Hamas and the return of the bodies of the dead soldiers and civilians, forcibly detained in the Gaza strip.
Peace negotiations can begin only after Palestinian authority will be fully responsible for security in Gaza and work of border crossings and the Palestinian security services will be able to prevent arms smuggling into the Palestinian coastal enclave.
In addition, Palestinian security forces must destroy the terrorist infrastructure of Hamas in Judea and Samaria.
Israel requires from Hamas to sever all ties with Iran. Cash and humanitarian aid to the Gaza strip should be monitored by the Palestinian authority.
Radio «Kahn Beth» was told that the decision was supported by all members of the military-political Cabinet.
