The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on published by the International atomic energy Agency report, which recognized the military nature of the Iranian nuclear developments – at least until 2003.
The commentary notes: the IAEA has dispelled last doubts in that Iran secretly worked on developing nuclear bombs, and also shed light on the gimmicks and misinformation, to which resorted the Ayatollah regime to conceal the military component of the project.
«Israel expects the international community will continue a thorough check and employ all available means to find out what is in the program now and prevent Iran to secretly develop nuclear weapons», — reads the statement
We will remind: in the IAEA report acknowledged that prior to the end of 2003 was held in Iran the goal of which was the creation of a «nuclear explosive device». Some works continued until 2009. The authors of the report emphasize that the developers have not approached the threshold, after which Iran would become a nuclear power.
While in Iran the report was seen as evidence of the peaceful nature of the developments. Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Abbas Araqchi called on the IAEA to close the «Iranian nuclear dossier».
