After years of negotiations, Israel and China signed official bilateral agreement for the orderly importation to Israel of 20 thousand Chinese construction workers.
The ceremony of the agreement took place during the visit members of the Israeli government in Beijing.
During the first six months after signing the contract it is planned to bring to Israel 6 thousand Chinese construction workers.
Until recently, a significant stumbling block between the parties was the issue of bringing Chinese workers to the construction of the «green line». In Beijing demanded to specify in the agreement the prohibition of work in Judea and Samaria, while Jerusalem was ready to agree to the ban, not making it in writing.
The situation changed in January of this year during visit to China the head of the housing Cabinet of the government of Israel Avigdor Yitzhaki and the President of the inter-Ministerial Commission for bilateral agreements Amnon Ben-AMI. However, as it was settled by the issue of Judea and Samaria, currently not reported.
