Sunday, March 25, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his Facebook wrote that the government endorsed his proposal to open archival materials about absorption of immigrants in the first years of the state.
Netanyahu promised that access to the materials will have not only Israeli citizens but also citizens of other countries.
The press service of the government reported that in accordance with the decision of the head of the government, which was supported by the Ministers, will be published materials stored in State and Central Zionist archives.
In order to facilitate the disclosure of all materials and their availability, the government creates a working group headed by the Secretary to the government tzahi Braverman. The group will include the chief archivist of Israel Dr. ya’akov Lazovik, President of the world Zionist organization Reuven Shalom and Secretary-General of the Jewish Agency Joseph Schwartz.
