On Friday, June 16, RIA Novosti news Agency has published several reports on the negotiations of the Ambassador of Israel in Moscow, Gary Koren with the head of Committee of Federation Council on defense and security Viktor Ozerov.
In particular, it was reported that in the framework of these negotiations, the parties discussed security zone (de-escalate) in Syria and the interests of Israel when they are created.
«When other parties were talking about some initiatives that are closely connected with our security, in this case, refers to the southern zone (in Syria) is, of course, we are interested in. There have been certain contacts, cannot enter into details with the Russian side, with some other countries. In addition, it was reported that Israel and Russia may sign an agreement on mutual recognition of military service.
