Israelis suspected of involvement in major fraud in Romania

The Romanian authorities are investigating suspected large-scale fraud, which may be involved in the Israelis. State losses from this crime are estimated at 136 million euros.

In the case at issue this week were detained businessman Remus Troika, the former head of the office of the Prime Minister, Marius Marcovici, a former Advisor to Prime Minister, journalist Dan Andronic, Lucian Claudiu Mateescu, Robert Mihaita the Dew.

According to the version of Romanian law enforcement agencies were involved in the conspiracy to return one nobleman of great estates under the Bucharest nationalized by the Communist regime.

Radio station «Sieves Beth» reported on 11 December that Romanian authorities are checking involvement in the case of a businessman Beny Stigmata, political consultant tal Zilberstein and Shimon Sheves, a former chief of staff Yitzhak Rabin.

The Prosecutor’s office considers that the restitution of the estates was illegal in the absence of the documents confirming the right of an aristocrat to this property.

According to some, the aristocrat in question is Paul-Philippe Hohenzollern, the Romanian Prince Paul, the son of the eldest son of the king of Romania Carol II and nephew of king Mihai. The Prince claims that it was he, not the king Mihai, is the true head of the Royal house of Romania.
