Former Yukos CEO and founder of public organization «Open Russia» Mikhail Khodorkovsky predicted the Russian «hard times» in case of coming to power of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. He declared it in interview to the journalist Yuri Dude on the Youtube channel «wdwd».
«I would it would have caused, on the one hand, joy, because I believe that any turnover of power is good,» said Khodorkovsky to the question about how he would react to a hypothetical Bulk victory in the presidential election that will be held in 2018.
«On the other hand, I would have definitely said, «Guys, do warehouses on hard times»,» – quoted biznesin information Agency «Interfax».
According to Khodorkovsky, in this case five to six years Russia will return to the system of monopoly power that exists now. «Monopoly power is when there is one center of legitimacy, one centre who has the authority to make decisions, all the others depend on it,» he explained.
«The path that makes the leader in our country – it is always more or less alone. So I think we should put the question is not «who» but «what» instead of Putin», – said Khodorkovsky.
