The Russian weightlifter, two-time European champion Sergey Petrosyan died in Goryachiy Klyuch, Krasnodar Krai. On Thursday, July 27, announced the mayor of the city Ivan Fedorov on his page in social network Facebook.
As have informed Agency «Interfax» in a press-service of investigatory management SK of Russia across Krasnodar Krai, the man’s body was discovered in the river near the Hot springs on July 24. Relatives identified the deceased Sergey Petrosian.
«Conducted preliminary examination, to determine the causes of death is appointed is judicial-medical examination», – said the employee of press-service SK.
Sergey Petrosyan was born on 7 June 1988. Master of sports of international class in weightlifting. In 2005 – the champion of Europe among juniors, and in 2006 – silver medalist of world championship among juniors.
In 2007, Petrosyan became a part of Russian national team. In the same year he won the championship of Europe in Strasbourg, and a year later at the European Championships in Lignano.
