Killed in Mexico writer and journalist Javier Valdez, opposing the drug mafia

The famous Mexican writer and journalist Javier Valdez, who covered the topic of drug crime in this country, was killed on Monday in Culiacan, located in the state of Sinaloa, reported on may 16 leading foreign media.

The portal Riodoce based valdés, writes that the journalist was shot in the center of the city – attackers shot him at least 10 bullets, then fled the scene.

Valdez is the fifth well-known journalist, who died in Mexico over the past two months.
