Venezuelan violinist Willie Artega, who became famous for taking part in anti-government protests in the country, suffered during the recent violent clashes in Caracas. On Sunday, July 23, reports the BBC.
«Rubber bullets will not stop us,» wrote Artega on Twitter, by posting your videos with a swollen, bandaged face. Later, the musician was shot when he was playing the violin in his hospital bed.
Artega introduces himself as a member of the «Resistance» (La Resistencia), the mass youth movement that led the anti-government protests.
He became known in the country after may, there was a video where the musician is crying due to the fact that the police allegedly broke his violin.
In June, he went to new York to participate in foreign anti-government demonstrations, and was even invited to the Congress of the United States.
