According to Knesset member Ksenia Svetlova («Zionist camp»), despite the fact that on the conclusion of the agreement between Russia and Israel on the payment of pensions, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in December 2016, bureaucratic procedure that ensures the implementation of pension payments, is not yet complete.
The representative Svetlova reported that the Deputy asked for clarification about when retirees begin to receive pensions from Russia, to the Russian Embassy in Israel. The Embassy Svetlova explained that the agreement on cooperation in the field of social security was signed between the two countries in June 2016, but the Ministry of labour of Russia and the Ministry of social services of Israel has not yet agreed on the place and time of signing the administrative agreement, after signing which the parties should exchange instruments of ratification.
