The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference that London will have to answer for the blatant attempt to mislead the world community in connection with the assassination of Sergei Skripal, reports «Interfax».
Lavrov also stressed that Russia had no motive for poisoning Skripal, and added that «they could be, and probably was, those who would like to continue Russophobic campaign in all spheres of human activity.»
During the press conference the head of the Russian foreign Ministry explained that if London will receive an official request in the case of poisoning, «we, as expected in accordance with our obligations under the Convention on the prohibition of chemical weapons, a 10-day period will give the answer that will fit in the requirements of this international instrument».
