The Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov met in Manila with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu. The politicians discussed issues of bilateral relations and the situation in Syria.
The Russian Minister acknowledged that the work on creation of zones of de-escalation in Idlib province go hard, urging other States, especially the United States, to put pressure on the opposition groups.
«If we are synchronous, and Russia and Turkey and Iran, and, I repeat, the American coalition will use its influence on specific players who are in arms against each other on the ground, I think, a compromise proposal… will be found,» — said the Minister.
