Earlier this week lawyers for the U.S. defense Corporation General Atomics filed in the Supreme court a lawsuit demanding to cancel the deal to hire German Ministry of defense the Israeli UAV Heron.
«Our goal is to make sure that the tender was conducted on fair and equitable terms, and that the Ministry of defence of Germany chose the most profitable and meet the technological requirements variant», — quotes the representatives of General Atomics Reuters.
General Atomics is the manufacturer of the UAV Predator is the direct competitor of the concern «Israeli aircraft industry», producing UAV Heron.
In January of this year, the defense Ministry of Germany announced that leases Israeli Heron UAVs in 2025 when it should be completed the development of joint Franco-Italian-German heavy drone.
In early summer, General Atomics has already tried to block the deal, referring to the German competition authority, however, the U.S. claim was rejected.
A new lawsuit has blocked implementation of the transaction for at least a few months before the end of the trial.
