The delegates of the Libyan warring factions signed a proposed UN agreement on the establishment of a national unity government, which the West hopes, will bring peace and stability to that country and help to more effectively fight terrorists «Islamic state».
The agreement was signed in the Moroccan city of Skhirat, said on Thursday, December 17, the news Agency Reuters.
Recall that in the four years following the death of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya did not stop the civil war existed de facto, two governments – the self-proclaimed Tripoli and recognized by the international community in the East of the country.
In the framework of the signed agreement, a presidential Council of nine members during the month will form the government as the main legislative body and the State Council as an Advisory structure, after which they will be endorsed by the UN security Council.
This is actively resisted by supporters of the tough stance of the warring clans, which makes this plan very problematic.
