Lieberman: «We don’t want to be the ones who will fall apart the right-wing government»

In recent weeks the coalition has any conflicts on the basis of several initiatives the ultra-Orthodox parties. For comment on these issues editorial addressed to the Minister of defence and leader of the party «Israel Our home» Avigdor Lieberman.

«We are not talking about a single initiative or bill, but the number of steps caused by internal wars within the ultra-Orthodox camp, believes Avigdor Lieberman. – SHAS nervous as intensified Eli Yishai. «Yaadut Torah» Gafni and litzman are under fire of criticism from Rabbi Auerbach who believe that they condoned the call «haredim» in the IDF. First suddenly had a demand for the complete cessation of work on the railway on Shabbat. This requirement arose, despite the fact that everything had been agreed, agreement has been reached. Then suddenly, out of the agenda of the government, there is the question of the abolition of compromise on the order of prayers at the wailing Wall. Moreover, this compromise was developed by the former Secretary to the government, the current legal adviser to the government away Mandelblit, whom nobody will suspect of hostility towards Orthodoxy. But the «haredim» seeking cancellation of a compromise, and they do it, based solely on their interests.»

«Do not blame everything on America, it is our internal Affairs and issues, and the effects are felt here before have an effect on relations with the United States. After that there was a bill to convert to Judaism. This bill strikes a blow not only for 350 thousands of immigrants and more than a million already born here. It strikes at the quite Orthodox rabbis Pose and Raskino, and yet the leaders of the «Bayt Yehudi» don’t vote against him», – said the head of Yisrael Beiteinu.

Lieberman stressed that the only Minister who voted against the bill at the meeting of the Ministerial Committee on legislation, was Minister from Yisrael Beiteinu, the Landwehr, which filed the appeal.

Avigdor Lieberman called «nonsense» the publication of the fact that he was not present at the meetings where it was approved the bill: «I do not mean the Commission and the forum of the heads of the coalition parties. There is not a vote, there is a discussion, which «merges» into the press before I have time to leave the room. I have a few months do not go to these meetings because I don’t want to participate in such. It is simply not serious».

The head of Yisrael Beiteinu said his party continues to insist on approving legislation that would give city rabbis the right to conduct giurov. «We need to deprive the chief Rabbinate a monopoly on conducting giurov. We have been offering it, but the bill every time you fill up. It was absurd – the city rabbis, have all the powers in matters of marriage, burial and other things, but can not say Gilly,» said Lieberman.

Answering the question of correspondent, the head of Yisrael Beiteinu announced that the party continues to make efforts to prevent the approval of the law: «At the moment it is frozen for a week. We constantly maintain contact with the office of the Prime Minister, today I had several conversations with the Minister of justice. We will continue to delay approval of the bill and seek its eventual abolition».

Avigdor Lieberman refused to talk about the possible withdrawal of Yisrael Beiteinu from the government, if these attempts will succeed. «We do not seek the collapse of the coalition, the reason for this is always more than enough, but we do not think that such a move would be a boon for the Russian-speaking community, and for the entire state, considering the challenges and tensions that we see at our borders,» said Lieberman.

Commenting on the coalition situation as a whole, the head of Yisrael Beiteinu said: «the Future of the coalition depends largely on whether they will continue the ultra-Orthodox to put forward new demands. We don’t want to be the ones who will fall apart the right-wing government. If «haredim» want to take it on, please, but we on this role.»

He also mentioned the adoption of the bill on «darkone», calling the bill «major achievement». Answering the question about the practical implementation of this law, the head of Yisrael Beiteinu said: «As always in such cases, possible technical difficulties, but overall the law is very clear: any immigrant can go to the «Darkon»». Lieberman added: «no Matter a person «Lesse passe», ordered it or not, if the immigrant is subject to the law, he is entitled to receive the «Darkon»».

Avigdor Lieberman refused to comment on the publication, according to which, Israel has ceased all visitors access to the Hamas terrorists held in Israeli prisons. «I rely on Israeli media,» he joked. Informed sources said the editorial «If the decision was taken, as you can guess, it was preceded by serious discussion.»
